BuKang Korean Restaurant

On the 2nd day of Lunar New Year since most of the Chinese restaurant were closed, our family decided to have our lunch settled on other types of cuisine. After much consideration, we landed our feet at 'BuKang Korean' at Red Dot Traffic House. This is a nice and cosy restaurant with a homely ambience.

The appetizer comes with pickles, gingers. Sweet and sour so suppose to open up your appetite before the main course comes along.
The soup tasted like clear broth, a little salty but flavorful since there is egg white and a lump of gluey paste like mochi.
This side dish is somewhat very Korean traditional taste, seaweed, shallot and preserve slice fish. I don't really like the fish as there is a very strong fishy aftertaste. Accordingly to the waitress, this dish is not popular among others except Korean native.
The eel is good, fresh and meaty, nicely grilled with some light teriyaki sauce.
Macaroni grilled with cheese, corns and peas. The dish is simple yet tasty.
Kimchi with eggs grilled altogether, very special! I am a kimchi person, naturally i love it!
Steam egg, just like the japanese chawanmushi, but they added a lot of flavor. Not bad either.
This is their popular dish, flat fish sashimi, the texture is firm, a little rubbery, need a little more effort to chew, but definitely very fresh. Sashimi lovers must try!

We had our reunion dinner at 自然  restaurant. That was my first time having 盆菜, it was a whole new experience of tasting multiple delicacies all in one pot. Ingredient including abalone, sea cucumber, black pepper grilled duck slice, dried oyster, fish maw, pig throtter, prawns, yam, etc. An assembly of a carnival with braised goodies. Shiok!
